本會創會前一年，也就是在 2016 年 7 月，由本會創會理事長夏德椿醫師和常務理事包大靝教授（中國醫藥大學教授, Terry Fox Cancer Research Lab 負責人）率領優質醫學團隊首次到柬埔寨首都金邊市 International University (IU)醫學院和國立醫院 Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital (KS) 進行最新醫學學術講座與觀摩交流參訪，並參訪 University of Puthisastra (UP)，開啟以台灣之醫療實力，做為台柬雙方在醫學學術交流，提升醫療水平， 偏鄉義診，人道救援等之平台奠定基礎。
During June 2016 (one year prior to the establishment of APCMGU), APCMGU's founding chairman, Dr. Te-Chun Hsia and the Executive Director, Prof. Da-Tian Bau led an excellent medical team and co-organized the first academic exchange trip of innovative medical conferences at International University (IU) and National Hospital, Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital (KS). The APCMGU team also visited a medical university - the University of Puthisastra (UP) to open the gates between Taiwan's solid medical background and Cambodia which serves as an effective platform for medical and academic exchanges, medical standards upgrade, free medical/clinical consultation and humanitarian relief not only benefitting Taiwan and Cambodia but other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Since then, APCMGU has kept working on co-organizing several International Medical Academic Exchange Conferences with Cambodian local NGO or private medical schools under many excellent medical doctors’ non-stop efforts as bellows:

2018.08.16 再次由本會理事長夏德椿醫師率本會醫師暨台柬志工學生等，首次到越南與越南胡志明市醫藥大學 UMP 合辦醫學研討會,由夏理事長主講。感謝胡志明市台北經濟文化辦事處 副處長 張綺芬女士 蒞臨指導。開啟本會除了在柬埔寨外，更拓展在亞太區域包含越南等國在醫學學術交流，以及提升醫療水平之平台.
On 2018.08.16, Chairman of APCMGU, Dr. HSIA, Te-Chun once again guided team of APCMGU doctors and volunteers from Cambodia and Taiwan to co-organize the 1st Medical Conference with University of Medicine and Pharmacy (UMP) at Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and a lecture was majorly given by Chairman, Dr. HSIA. Especially thanks to the Deputy Director General of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in HCM, Madam Judy Chang attended the conference to offer her kind encouragement. This conference help open the gate for APCMGU to serve as a platform for medical academic interchange to more countries in ASEAN such as Vietnam (in addition to Cambodia) and even broaden mutual medical exchange and level.
